Adobe Photoshop Tutorial No.2 : Crack Effect
This is just a simple crack effect, I just want to show the basic way.
sample image
1.Use the Lasso tool to select the portion of the picture to be edited. Right click on the Lasso tool and select the Magnetic Lasso Tool.
2.Now select the portion you want to edit. Your starting point would also be your end point. As you finish selecting the portion, you will see a circle, this is the prompt that you've reached the starting point, click on that point and you now have the selected portion of the picture to be edited.(see image below)
3.Now for the effects, click the Filter (you'll see this on the upper portion/ first layer toolbars) select Texture and then Craquelure.
Adjust the Craquelure parameters for your desired result, and then click OK.
As you finish the Craquelure effect, you will see that the edited portion is still selecteed.
Click Ctrl+D to deselect the edited portion.
Easy? Try to use other options in the Filter to put effects on your picture.
