A TEAR IN MY PILLOW

When I lay and think, in my bed at night,
the day you'll arrive, seems nowhere in sight.
I toss and I turn, dreaming of you,
opening my eye's... checking if my dream came true.
It didn't, again, and a tear starts to roll,
weeping quietly... my pillow I hold.

Many sleepless nights I've prayed for you, my love.
God touched my soul from heaven above
He's answered my prayers for my bride to be.
I've never felt this lucky, God did this for me.
That's a question I asked each and every night.

He must think your special, Joy, and I know he's right.
No other has made me feel so complete,
my whole life was lived, just so we could meet.
All these thoughts and more going through my head.
I fall asleep not worrying, but dreaming of you... instead

I'm starin at the ceiling and its late in the night,
Wishing you'll come back, but that seems nowhere in sight.
I'm tossing and turning and im dreamin of you
I dreamt you'd be back, and how i wish dreams come true.

I wake up to find me alone and a tear starts to roll
I'm weeping quietly with the pillow that I hold

Every single day I pray for you, my love.
The first time i saw you, i felt you were an angel from above.
And I prayed to god " Oh please make her my bride to be"
Fate decided otherwise and I cried " why did it have to be me"

And still I wake up alone with a tear in my pillow.
Wondering If I should call you just to say Hello.

Thinkin about you all the time, sometimes messes up my head
And I fall asleep, not sad but dreaming of you instead...
And this is what happens to me every single night.
I pray that you are beside me and switch on the light.

But all i see is a tear in my pillow.

very good poem, make me remember the last brake up i had and i would cry on my pillow every night..
