miss Jimena(ximena)Navarette a 22 year old former model from Guadalajara from mixeco was crowned miss universe 2010 at the Mandalay resort and casino in Las vegas nevada,while philippines pride Maria Venus Raj finished fourth place,the pageant named Jamaica's Yendi Philipps as ist runner up,Jessica Campbell of Australia settled in the second place and Anna Poslavska of Ukraine grabbed 3rd runner up.
Other awards were also handed to miss Thailand Fonthilip Watcharatrakul for custome award and miss australia campbell for miss congeniality.
Venus competed with than 80 stunning ladies and received overwhelming support not just from the philippines but also from the filipino community in Las vegas.Venus is dedicating her win not only to all filipino people but also for co-beauty queen Melody Gerbach who died in a road mishap in camarines sur
