Flood control. Is it necessary

sir is it necessary to control your posts or replies here in the forum and wait for 120 seconds just to reply or post again? just asking...Thanks and Godbless

Yes it is necessary.

It happened before that one user flooded the entire forum with his product and website. He replied nearly all topics with same message. Hundreds of them. It took him just a few minutes!

Our moderators spent the whole day cleaning up the mess. If only I activated the security feature, it would have been impossible for him to flood in hundreds.

Then, just only recently, one of the members slang-flood the entire forum again. Flood security feature set at minimum that time.

Now, 120 (2 minutes) seconds minimum interval in between replies is I believe enough for you to compose your replies between two topics. We dont want just "thank you", "well done", etc replies. Thats against the forum rules.

By the way, those flooders are banned permanently.

i remember before that guy who posted his website and product,yes he'd almost flood every topic..but sir atleast can you remove the flood control at the humor section?

The flood control feature is global. And again, monosyllabic replies is against our forum rules. I firmly believe 2 minutes interval is fair for users as well as sites security.

Now i understand what's the use of that 120sec interval in between posts......

It's for the security of the forum not to slang,flood & to avoid monosyllabic replies....
