Company History:

mig33 was released in December of 2005 as the first global mobile Internet community and has quickly spread around the world. The concept for mig33 originated in a library coffee shop, between founders Steven Goh and Mei Lin Ng. The two sat down with a blank piece of paper and a goal to figure out a way for teens to send text messages as much as they wanted, without breaking the bank. Ideas brewed on that paper which led to a business proposal and eventually to mig33.

Key members of the Team include:

Mei Lin Ng, Head of Marketing and Co-Founder

Responsible for Marketing, and is deeply involved in the product development process.

Mei Lin was the marketing manager with Sanford Securities Limited for the three years prior to its acquisition by IWL Limited. In this role, Mei Lin was able to substantially influence the growth and sustainability of the retail and wholesale divisions in a period of depressed markets. Revenues from the retail and wholesale divisions accounted for over 50 percent of Sanford's total revenues (over $20m per annum). Mei Lin was also substantially involved with corporate dealings and public affairs issues during Sanford's engagement with both OM and IWL Limited.

Mei Lin has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Honours in Marketing from the University of Western Australia and represented the University of Western Australia in the Australian Marketing Institute's Team Marketer Competition.

Steven Goh, Co-Founder

Steven was the principal founder and CEO of Sanford Securities Limited, Australia's first online Stockbroker. From a start-up business in 1996, Steven steered Sanford through a growth cycle that saw it achieve:

A client base of 160,000 customers of which 50,000 were direct and 110,000 were sourced through wholesale relationships with two banks and 150 accounting and financial planning groups
$66 million of sales over six years and the hosting of $2.4 billion of customer assets
Several awards including Deloitte's Fast 50, finalist in the Australian Financial Review Web Awards and a finalist in the AIIA Innovation Awards
Prior to Sanford, Steven spent time in the stockbroking industry with Merrill Lynch (formerly McIntosh West) and Saw James Capel, as a management consultant with Steven Goh & Associates and in the accounting and audit industry with Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Anderson.

Steven is recognised as an authority on contemporary IT issues within the financial services sector. He was a finalist in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (Western Region) and was awarded an inaugural WA Business News 40 under 40 Award

A new version of mig33 has been released version - 2.04

Version 2.04 has some minor fixes:

* Certain Sony Ericsson and Motorola mobile phones has experiences issues in scrolling. This has been fixed.
* Some text were not displayed correctly on certain Nokia phones. This has been fixed.

How to get the new version?

February 16th, 2007 : mig33 version 3.01 Beta Released!

A new version of mig33 has been released version - 3.01

Version 3.01 beta has some minor fixes:

* Phone stability for Nokia Symbian phones such as 6600 and 3230. We are aware that there are more phones that are not compatible with mig33, and we are working hard to provide compatibility across more phone types.
