I want to hold you tonight,
I want to make everything alright.
I want to keep you safe through this life,
keep you safe by my side.
When I tell you goodbye,
you know it will all be alright.
I want you to know that when you cry. . .

I will kiss away your tears,
stand next to me and please give me your fears.
Lean your head on me,
and I will hold you here.
With my lips on your cheek,
I will kiss away your tears.

I love the way you smile,
Without pretense, no mask, simply you.
