CELLULITE
Cellulite is a stubborn problem for many people and is far more common in women. Even women who are not overweight may suffer with cellulite. If you have cellulite do not become depressed, as it can gradually be eliminated by easy and proven techniques to improve your metabolism. Cellulite is the term used to describe the build up of irregular, lumpy fat deposits, typically around the buttocks, hips and thighs. Cellulite has an ‘orange peel’ appearance because the overlying skin is dimpled. The key to eradicating cellulite and keeping it off is found in restoring a healthy metabolism.
WHAT ARE THE CAUSES?
There are several causes of cellulite. For example:
hereditary factors
lymphatic factors
intestinal factors
hormonal factors
circulatory factors
lifestyle factors
poor liver function
WHAT CONTROLS THE METABOLIC RATE?
The liver and the thyroid gland.
A healthy liver is the major fat burning organ in the body and regulates fat metabolism in several very sophisticated ways. In simple terms we can describe the liver as an organ which can burn unwanted body fat, or pump excessive fat out of the body through the bile into the intestines.
Improving liver function will increase the ability of the liver to burn fat and pump fat out of the body through the bile. It will also help to break down fat-soluble toxins that would otherwise become trapped in the fatty tissues and lead to cellulite.
FACTORS THAT INCREASE CELLULITE
Sluggish metabolic rate caused by imbalances in the function of the thyroid gland and liver.
Build up of toxins in the fat cells.
Hormonal changes which occur during pregnancy and the premenstrual phase of the cycle
Lack of exercise
Eating the wrong types of fats which increases the workload of the liver.
POOR LIVER FUNCTION AND CELLULITE
If the liver filter is damaged by toxins or blocked with excessive waste material, it will be less able to remove small fat globules (chylomicrons) circulating in the bloodstream. This will cause excessive fat to build up in the blood vessel walls. This fat may then gradually build up in many other parts of the body, including other organs, and in fatty deposits under the skin. Therefore, you may develop cellulite in the buttocks, thighs, arms and abdominal wall.
If the liver does not regulate fat metabolism efficiently, weight gain tends to occur around the abdominal area and a protuberant abdomen (pot belly) will develop. This is not good for the waistline! Another sign can be a roll of fat around the upper abdomen, which I affectionately call the "liver roll." This is often a sign of a fatty liver.
TREATMENT OF CELLULITE
Avoid fats such as deep fried foods, processed foods and snack foods containing hydrogenated vegetable oils, chicken skin, pork crackling, preserved meats, dairy products and margarine.
Raw juice daily will help reduce cellulite
Use STEVIA instead of sugar - Stevia Powders, tablets, liquid - We are all aware of the dangers of using aspartame, sucralose and other nasty chemical artificial sweeteners. There is now a natural safe sweetener that will not cause raised blood sugar and insulin levels - the enemy of people with a weight problem or tendency towards Syndrome X.
Include a super strength Brindleberry formula combined with other supportive herbs and minerals to promote effective weight loss and reduction of cellulite.
Include a good formula to help support liver function and to improve its fat burning function. A good liver tonic containing the liver herb St. Mary's Thistle, and sulphur containing amino acids will help the liver to burn fat more efficiently and thus is an aid to weight control and cellulite.
Include regular lymphatic massage.
