Pumanaw na ang tag-araw
ngunit maalinsangan pa rin
sa mga lansangan ng gunam:

Bakit may taong mayayabang
kahit walang ipagyayabang?
Maliban sa balakubak at tinga

kapag humahapon ang pangungulila
sa totoo nilang balikat.
Kahabag-habag ngunit walang magagawa

kundi impitin ang palatak
at asahang hawanin ng himala
ang kanilang abang bukas.
