Talents to Bless Each Other
God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out when you have faith that God is speaking through you. Romans 12:6 (NLT)
God gives each of us the “ability to do certain things well,” says the apostle Paul (Romans 12:6 NLT). If God gives you ability, then use it!
And use it to bless others.
The Bible is full of examples of how God’s people used their gifts to bless others on behalf of him. The list of biblical gifts includes, but is not limited to: artistry, architecture, administration, baking, boat making, candy making, debating, designing, embalming, embroidering, engraving, farming, fishing, gardening, leading, managing, masonry, making music, making weapons, needlework, painting, sailing, selling, being a soldier, tailoring, teaching, writing literature, and poetry.
I’m sure there’s a barista mentioned in there somewhere; I just haven’t found it yet. But the point is, be inventive in the way you serve and in the talents you use. If God’s given you a gift, think of how you can use it to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
God gave you abilities, interests, talents, gifts, personality, and life experiences for this very reason. Yet, most of our abilities and gifts remain untapped, unrecognized, and unused.
You needn’t be concerned if some of your talents seem quite ordinary; they’re still eternally important to God. The apostle Peter might say, “You have been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well” (1 Peter 4:10 CEV).

All our talents increase in the using, and every faculty both good and bad, strengthens by exercise.
