Current Admin Selection

This is a huge topic!

So the current process is that we will look through the applications that come in to contact@mig33.com. There are about 300 emails coming in in ONE day... Sometimes even more when users know that we are selecting...

It is time consuming having to check thousands of applicants and going through their chatlogs... I am thinking if there is a more effective way of doing this.

Any suggestions?

MAM MAY I SUGGEST TO GIVE THEM A REQUIREMENT WHO EVER AMONG THOSE PEOPLE COMPLETE IT, GIVE THEM ANOTHER TASK OR INTERVIEW AND SELECT AGAIN UNTIL YOU FIND SOME PEOPLE THAT YOU THINK IS GOOD FOR THAT POSSITION. GIVE A TIME SPAN ON HOW LONG THEY NEED TO COMPLETE THEIR REQUIREMENT . WHO EVER DID NOT PASS IT ON TIME WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. SO IN THIS PROCESS THE THOUSAND OF APPLICANT WILL BE MINIMIZE.

it would be a great one.

as you mentioned mam that checking of thousands emails applicant is quite tough. well i extremely agree! now here is my simple suggestions to reduce thousands of emails.

1. announce the exact date when admin selection begin and it will be off. advance and late emails should not be entertained. applicants should be follow the time. if there is proper bracket of accepting applicants then still there is enough time to check the chatlogs and observe the applicant.

2. announce in which country you definitely going to select thus the applicants from required country can apply only.

this is only my point of view.

Just thinking about it makes my head ache. One simple way in my opinion is emulating what most companies doing when promoting employees. Admin selection is somewhat similar in terms of the process. Ask users around with good reputations ie good room admins, forum founders or administrators, site moderators, merchants, etc. They are more qualified to have a say who they think are best qualified for an interview. It is because they spend most of their time with users in mig33 rooms or forums. Of course there would be problems of them favoring someone over the other but at least the staff would have smaller group of applicants to check. Maybe ask them who they think the best three or four candidates for the position.

You should have long period of selection time.For example if you want select admin for january 2009 you should start open selection in july/agust 2008.So you have enough time to check candidates chatlog.And announce candidates name in many forum.So other users can tell about that candidates,they good or bad.

In my thinking, selecting admin is very hard thing to do. Many of users who was sent application and want to be choose as an admin, always online their id. But they are not alive when we private them. As i can say is, all we need is the active users. Not only fake users that online only for waiting for mig33staff get interview them. Thats bad thing. Hope mig33staff will choose more active admins in the future. Not an unactive admins. Thanks

I agree with the idea.

I see all of new admins was merchant Surprised

so if you guys want to be an admin, you must be mig33 merchant. Maybe an admin post only can reach by user who has help selling mig33 credits. Its mean that must be rich user can be a merchant. How about poor user ? Please mig33 staff answer this question. I confused when many of my friends asked me like this. "Why always mig33 merchant have chance to get admin post?" Surprised

mam at 1st select admin candidates then asked there country admin that that candidate is good or bad if he had any bad record country admin will remind u if u didnt find out any bad records then observe that user....chat with that candidate different nicks examine him\her that how 's is his\her behave...then check his\her chat log then select that candidate as an admin hope u like my idea mam Very Happy

I think for me, the effective way in choosing an admin is picking 1 in every room that will also ensure that evry room is guarded from kickers and flooders.

i am not agree with the idea that you gonna ask the attitude of this candidate with the current admin. this is too danger coz it might creates more criticism. admin can say that candidate isn't good she/he used multi nicks, flooders etc...this type of circumstances cannot be avoided as we know human nature. Neutral

For my opinions selection of admin is very tough job!
And its very hard to find and picked it up from thousand chatters!
My suggestions are tru recomendations of all site admins and rooms peacekeeper and all d officers of the site, and then give them a task to fullfill and let the more responsible and olwez on line be selected! D more approachable and have self iniatiative can be an assets to be chosen.

My opinion is this,just only hired which country needs more admin so that it will be less of applicants,if you need for phils admin then the applicants just only from phils, to recieved millions of email everyday can cause of dizzyness.More power mig33team thumbs up
