All the Time

we go through life
and so few people say:
" Hey, you're doing a good job,"
or " you're on the right track
with your life."
but you say it
all the time.
You always have,
reassuring me
making me believe in me
and making me feel good
about who I am
and what I hope to accomplish.
take me seriously,
you encouraged me to try
and made me feel that
was all right.
You probrbly have no idea
how immense the gift
you gave me is,
but I know that I
coudn't have
done it or become
the person I am
without you.
