MY TENDENCY to DIGRESS

Fate decided we should meet.
You never treated me like I was but a piece of meat.
You think I'm cute,that' really neat.
I think you're A-okay,you're very sweet.
I used to write LOVE sonnets and such for my past beaus.
Beautiful words for jerks who treat women like "hoes."
Still I wrote about them in long prose.
I wasted time thinking about them bastards.
Oh, they turned my heart into melted custard.
If I see them again, I'd splash their eyes bad mustard,
Or thrash 'em up they'd end up in a hospital ward.
I'm through writing cute sonnets of LOVE.
Anyway, words would never ever be enough
To describe how loving could sometimes be so tough.
I dunno what else to say, to rhyme I'd say-
Hey,you're buff!
( No, you're really not, my fifty-buck-a-piece cream puff.)
This was supposed to be about you.
Now it's about me,what can we do?
But, baby, don't you get so blue.
I guess what's important is I LOVE YOU.... ALWAYS
