Memories, always in sight
Heart aching
Solitary songs of you.

Summer nights bright with stars
Full moon
Softly lighting your face.

Bright happy summer days
Easy laughter
Smile as warm as the sun.

Autumn leaves twist and fall
Brisk winds
Singing through the trees.

Streams gurgling quietly
Waves rippling
Sweeping clean the shore.

Winter life prints disappear
Snow silently
Covering unguarded memories.

Waterfalls stand frozen
Glistening reflection
Time passing by unseen.

Spring resurrects life
Birdsong revives
Easing our lost tomorrows.

and dwell in dismay

Our hope is forgotten
Our dreams have been spent
Our love misbegotten
Our faith we lament

Our yesterday’s ended
Our future unknown
Our past unintended
Our memories flown.
