Am I so Blessed

How can there be an end
when each day just begins
all these year’s
i’ve been alive
have faded from my view
life as i knew it then
ended in three firsts
i never thought would be
first i looked upon your smile
and heard your gentle voice
then i felt how you touch
quickened every part of me
and life as i knew it
would never be again
now each day
GOD has given me to live
the first thing i always do
is smile just to look at you
how am i so blessed
to have you in my life
take in all you say and do
then lay with you at night
watch you fall asleep
i always wondered if
i live long enough
to learn a little grace
maybe discover what
it means to live
now each day i see it
right there in your face
it said am i so blessed
i often smiled upon
thus it is i am
each and everyday.

I haven't known you very long
but that's not the way I feel;
I've told you all about me
I have nothing to conceal.

What I say may sound silly now
but you'll find it to be true;
I never thought that when we met
I would fall in love with you.

You are my new beginning,
you're the door to life beyond;
you're all that I could ever want
or ever need to carry on.

You're the future I have dreamed of,
you're a new and brighter day;
with you, there is no looking back,
the past can fade away.

Though I haven't known you very long
you'll find all I've said is true;
I never thought that when we met

Basking in the warmth of your smile
And the music of your laugh
I feel your tenderness
And your oh so witty style

I don’t know why god blessed me
With such a friend as you
But it makes my pleasure complete
And very happy too

The way you always know me

When my loneliness gets me down

With you I learned to trust

The skies are free from clouds,
On this late Saturday evening.
A boy sits hugging his knees,
Enduring the cool October breeze.

The ocean waves crash ashore,
Beating against the rocks below.
On this cliff standing tall,
He prepares to take a fall.

In love he is with a beautiful girl,
Now to tell her how he feels.
Panic bells ring around his ears,
As day dreams bring him to tears.

She found him sitting alone,
Wondering if anything was wrong.
A fake smile is all he could do,
While contemplating an 'I love you'

Before he could turn to speak,
She hushed his quivering lips.
Deep into his eyes she stared,
And told him how much she cared.

He apologizes to God in his mind,
'Sorry God, I'm stealing an angel'
He can see Heaven in her eyes,
It takes away all his butterflies.

He manages to say 'I love you'
She smiles and returns the words.
He looks at the Heavens above,
As he kisses his one true love.
