Your words linger in my mind, replaying themselves day by day
The deceitful memories cease to fade as much as I fight

My heart lays shattered on the floor, seeking another to help mend it
but when they come along, your betrayal holds me back from love

My mind goes numb, my heart grows cold
your lies are all that remain

Feelings so strong get pushed aside in remembrance of you
stalling my healing process once again

My heart wishes to restore itself, to love one more time
yet hesitates when love comes its way

You are no longer in my life, yet still seem to control it
In a sense it's what you've always wanted. For me to be only yours
