diesel or semi-diesel drive,equipped with means for quick starting located in a self-contained compartment,preferably on the deck above weather deck.operated and checked once a week.tested under load for atleast 2 hours once a month.storage batteries for emergency lighting and power systems shall be tested at least once every 6 month that the vessel is navigated...

note: the date of the tests and condition and performance are to be noted in the official logbook.. Smile
